I have witnessed this before, in numerous countries around the globe, where individuals with no respect for the laws, but a deep understanding of how to manipulate them, have used democracy as a paved road to absolutism. The list is extensive and significant. Nowadays, it seems to be a trend.
I
will refrain from naming specific individuals, as a brief web search would
suffice, but instead, I can describe a speculative path a new government might
take to achieve absolutism.
So,
here we go:
- We have
observed an alarming increase in religious interference in governmental
affairs.
- Ignorance
is gaining more space in social media and daily life. Examples include
flat earthers, anti-vaccine sentiments, alternative truths (or whatever
they call them), the pressure to defund public libraries, book banning,
etc. Such people love to have a leader to follow and, unfortunately, they
have forgotten the disastrous consequences of leaders like Hitler and
Mussolini.
- Controlling
the legislative branch by appointing obscure judges.
- Now,
they have control of both the Senate and the House of Representatives.
- The
entire government staff comprises cronies and individuals fully committed
to the wrong interests.
- They
came to office using inflation as their primary issue. This aspect is
crucial.
The
die is cast.
It
is well known that “ordinary” people do not use logic when casting a vote.
Instead, they rely on emotions. Emotions are powerful and, like a battering
ram, will demolish whatever stands in their way, regardless of how
well-informed, logical, or accurate it might be. This reinforces terms like
“wrath of God” and other similar expressions.
Certainly,
I am dividing people with the simplistic dichotomy of "us" versus
"them." Please forgive me for that oversimplification; it is merely a
manner of speaking. In many instances, we overlook emotions, making a
regrettable mistake. Life is, and should be, filled with emotions; otherwise,
we miss out on important aspects such as the joy of living, among many others.
But
let me return to the main analysis:
- The
church is not always about God. More often, it is about power. People tend
to be believers, and this tendency deepens inversely proportional to their
educational level. Thus, religion becomes a tool for controlling people. I
am not attacking God.
- Giving
ignorance a strong voice entitles people who have felt ignored and
dismissed to express whatever their emotions dictate. This situation
creates distraction, pressure, and the critical mass of electoral votes
needed. We have just witnessed this phenomenon.
- The
decision to overturn Roe v. Wade was not based on religious concerns. They
used religious principles to inflame emotions, secure votes, and ensure a
supply of cheap labor for the economic system. Simultaneously, they
appointed judges who would support any constitutional amendments needed to
remain in power indefinitely.
- You
might argue that this is not possible in the USA because it would require
a three-quarters majority in both the Senate and the House. However, I
remind you of two facts: they already control both chambers, and anyone
needed to achieve that majority can be purchased. I am not against money
as a tool to obtain what we need or want, but when money becomes the
purpose itself, we are no better than those who are for sale, regardless
of the cause.
- The
nominations of the secretaries clearly illustrate the above points. No
further comment is needed here.
- Interestingly,
they chose inflation as the hot topic to drive people. This was a poor
logical choice that worked beautifully due to the emotional vote.
Simultaneously, it creates the perfect scenario for the final touch:
military intervention. The next government's actions will undoubtedly
increase inflation, create social turmoil and violent demonstrations, providing
the ideal excuse for military involvement.
You
might think this individual I am talking about is not intelligent enough to
figure it all out. You might say he is as dumb as a knob. However, you would be
dangerously wrong. He will throw out all kinds of distractions to keep us busy
behind the smoke screen, coping with the cacophony. This will keep us
distracted. Meanwhile…
On
the other hand, I could be mistaken.
